- It is important to pay attention to our body and work within our own ability. Everyone is different and Yoga is not a competition, so try not to compare yourself with other people in the class.
- Please inform your teacher if you feel any discomfort during practice. Burning sensation, sharp stabbing or electrical-like pains are signs that you should come out of the pose immediately. Only you know how your body feel, so be mindful and listen to your body.
- Please advise your teacher of any health conditions that might affect your ability to practise Yoga; for example back pain, headache, flu or joint problems.
- If you have serious health concerns or undergoing treatment for any medical conditions, please consult your doctor before practising Yoga.
- If you are pregnant and wish to practice Yoga, you should attend pregnancy Yoga classes taught by specially trained teacher in this field.
- Allow at least three hours after a heavy meal, or an hour after a light snack before practising Yoga.
- Wear loose and comfortable clothing so the body is not restricted. Be prepare to take off shoes and socks as Yoga poses are done bare feet.
- Bring non-slip mat and some drinking water.
- Bring warm clothing or blanket for relaxation.
- Empty your bowels and bladder before the practice.
- Above all, practice in a relaxed manner.
